The direct answer
Essentials for one premium tour plus two real choices; direct for beach-first Miami.
Choose Go City Essentials when its premium slot and two short-list attractions match the route exactly. Choose Explorer when the broader catalog adds a high-value Miami activity you actually want. Choose All-Inclusive only for a deliberately dense paid day. Buy directly when South Beach, Vizcaya, Wynwood and Little Havana are the trip.
Current pass comparisons do competent headline arithmetic but often accept the catalog as the itinerary. Go City Miami lists more than 40 attractions, including multiple Key West and Orlando products. A remote attraction has zero value on a three-day Miami trip, no matter how high its gate price looks.
Trip Well Spent selected-value grade
Essentials wins only when the short list is already your list.

These adult headline prices and catalog counts were checked October 11, 2026. Promotions, exact eligible lists and activation rules can change, so recheck the live product before paying.
| Product | Current headline | How it works | Best for |
|---|---|---|---|
| Go City Essentials | $89 adult | Choose 1 premium option plus 2 from the current short list; 30 days | Everglades, night bus or Duck Tour-led trio |
| Go City Explorer | $99 adult / 3 | Choose 3–5 from 38 current attractions; 30 days | Broader selected Miami activities |
| Go City All-Inclusive | $119 adult / 1 day | Day-based access to 40 current attractions | Dense tour-and-museum schedule |
| Direct tickets | Vizcaya currently $20 | Buy exact anchors; keep beach and neighborhoods free | Classic three-day city route |
| County transit | Current daily cap $5.65 | Bus and rail; Metromover and beach trolley are free | Ordinary transport |
The distance test
Delete every Key West, Kennedy Space Center, Orlando and Fort Lauderdale activity unless the actual itinerary goes there. Then remove the free beach, Beachwalk, Wynwood streets and neighborhood time. The smaller list that remains is the only honest pass comparison for the three-day Miami route.
Check the live Go City catalog
Compare the exact airboat, cruise or tour—not the category name.
Confirm pickup location, included transport, duration, weather policy and booking window. Go City currently allows some app reservations up to ten days ahead, while other operators require a phone call, email or small booking fee.

Match the product to the trip shape
Essentials
The premium choice can carry the math. Confirm whether the selected wetland product includes transportation and how much of the day it consumes.
Explorer
The broader pool can work for three higher-value Miami activities. Map the pickup points before assuming they share a day.
All-Inclusive
Use only when two or three paid products align geographically. A beach afternoon is expensive dead time on a day-based pass.
Direct tickets
Pay the current $20 Vizcaya admission, use free public spaces and add one museum or cruise only if it improves the route.
Three honest break-even examples
Trip 01 · wetland priority
Transported Everglades tour, cruise and one eligible stop
Essentials deserves a live calculation. Do not compare a transport-included excursion with a drive-yourself airboat ticket as though they are the same product.
Trip 02 · classic Miami
South Beach, Vizcaya, Wynwood and Little Havana
Direct wins. Much of the route is free, and its main paid estate is outside the current catalog.
Trip 03 · active attractions
Bike tour, speedboat and immersive museum
Explorer can clear its $99 price when all three are genuine priorities. Check weather and reservations before assigning full value.
Reservation friction is part of the price
The current Go City reservation page lists different procedures for the night bus, Duck Tours, airboat trips, bike tours, snorkeling and day trips. Some reserve in the app, some by phone, and Duck Tours currently adds a one-dollar reservation charge. Ownership of a pass does not create a seat.
| Friction | Why it changes value | Better move |
|---|---|---|
| Everglades variant | Transport and duration vary | Compare like with like |
| Cross-bay pickup | An early slot can require an expensive ride | Map it from the hotel first |
| Weather-sensitive tour | Wind or storms can weaken the experience | Prefer flexible timing |
| Distant catalog item | It cannot fit the city trip | Assign it zero value |
How to calculate Miami pass value fairly
- Choose city day or Everglades day.
- Delete every attraction outside the actual Miami route.
- Map each pickup and cross-bay move.
- Remove beaches, public art and neighborhood hours from the paid count.
- Price Vizcaya separately because it is currently excluded.
- Confirm every reservation and weather policy.
- Buy the smallest tier that clears the real direct total.
Miami pass questions
Which pass is best for most visitors?
Essentials is the best starting comparison for one premium tour plus two eligible sights. Direct booking is stronger for a beach-, Vizcaya- and neighborhood-led trip.
Does Go City include the Everglades?
Yes, through several current products. Transport, pickup, reservation process and duration differ, so compare the exact listing.
Does it include Vizcaya?
No, not in the current catalog. Vizcaya’s adult admission is temporarily reduced during restoration.
Does it include public transport?
No. Tourist buses are attractions; county transit, free Metromover and the Miami Beach trolley are separate systems.
